How time flies! I was on leave the whole of last week and it was great. I got to catch up on my rest, watch a few movies and worked out every single day.
Guess what else happened last week? I was the celebrity emcee for the Pre-Awareness Program for HIV/AIDS last Friday which was held at UPM's Medical Faculty. This seminar has only one main goal. To educate medical students on what HIV/AIDS is.

The first year medical students.
It's upsetting to hear from Dr Masliza that there are still doctors and nurses in our country who discriminate upon those who are diagnosed with HIV. Not only was her intention to shed some light to the first year medical students regarding HIV and AIDS, she was also there to educate the students about the stigma and every day discrimination these people had to live with for the rest of their lives. Here are a few pics on what went on.

Having a chat with the VIPs.

Here I am, giving a speech on what this event means to me.

Besides that, there was also an executive from the Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC), Norlela Mokhthar who spoke about what she has been through after finding out that she was HIV positive and to also let the students know the role society plays when dealing with people living with HIV.

Here she is again educating the students about HIV/AIDS.
I must say that after three years of doing this event, it is still one of the most meaningful event ever. Did I also mention that Dr Masliza is hot?

Yup, that's Dr Masliza

Hottest doctor ever!
